‘America’s Next Top Model’ Runner-Up, Anya, Signs With Elite Modelling
Anya Rozova, who went by Anya Kop on the last season of America's Next Top Model, signed with Elite Model Management on Friday. She may have come in second on the show, behind Whitney Thompson, but she's scored a spot on the agency's development board. Booker Jose Covarrubias says the agency asked for her after the show ended. And she came to them with brown hair (her natural shade — she dyed it back from her ANTM blond, which she found too hard to maintain).
Covarrubias told us Rozova's already done "some editorials" but was unable to give specifics. "She's getting great response," he added. Does this mean we might see her at Fashion Week? "Right now she's building her book. We're treating her as any other model. For Fashion Week we have no plans other than — she's based in New York, she's going to go out and see everyone."
Each season Elite plucks non-winners from the ANTM cast. Rozova's former housemate and competitor, Katarzyna Dolinska, was signed "the second she lost." "Last season was a great batch," Covarrubias added. "Whitney's kicking butt, Anya's kicking butt, Katarzyna's kicking butt. We're doing really well with the three girls we ended up with." Wow, ANTM girls actually modeling.

Super Model Dorian Leigh, who passed away earlier this week at 91 after battling Alzheimer's, was widely considered one of the world's first supermodels. In fact, her life was full of firsts: she was one of the first models to be known by name, and after her own modeling career, she opened what is called the first modeling agency in Paris.
Though Dorian started her career late — when she was 27 in 1944, she met with Diana Vreeland, told her she was 19, and landed a Harper's Bazaar cover right then and there — she appeared on seven Vogue covers in the 1940s, and claimed to be earning a whopping $300,000 a year.
She played muse to numerous bold name photographers: Cecil Beaton, Richard Avedon, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Irving Penn — the last of whom she had an affair with, and may have been the inspiration for Holly Golightly in Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's.

While Chanel, Prada and Louis Vuitton are re-living the 90's, Gucci's chosen the twenty-year-old pop star to front their new ad campaign for UNICEF just six months after her lauded performance at Gucci's fall fashion week bash.
Rihanna, who's posed for Clinique Happy, Covergirl and H&M's "Fashion Against AIDS" campaign, will star in "Tattoo Heart", a collection of ads for the children's charity in which she'll wear limited edition Gucci for UNICEF pieces.
Frida Giannini hand picked her because she, "felt a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign."
True. And we're all for a good cause. But is it wrong that we worry she'll be contracted to wear Gucci on every red carpet and abandon the up and coming labels she's been so good about supporting?
