Wear Multi-Strand Necklaces Tips
Layered necklaces are a growing trend this year, as everyone from celebs to socialites to rock stars have been spotted on the red carpets in fabulously fierce designs that steal the scene. Multi-strand necklaces can be for dressing up or dressing down, for work or for play. With so many styles, designs and settings to choose from, there's something for everyone. Here we take a look at how to wear this fashion forward trend and share some tips for pulling off a complete look seamlessly.
If you're going to rock a multi-strand necklace to dress up an evening ensemble, pearls are a great way to go. You can throw on a necklace with several strands of classic pearls. This is a more modern take on a fashion accessory staple. Natural pearls look great when set against an LBD. To mix it up a little, try a multi-strand necklace interwoven with black strands, a pendant or rhinestones. This creates a glamorous cluster effect that really makes the outfit.
You can also wear a multi-strand necklace during the day. Look for colorful beads that go with multiple outfits from your closet. Add color to plain white tank tops and t-shirts or a summer sundress. Alternatively, you can mix and match necklaces to create a unique look that is all your own. Try it out by starting with a long pendant necklace and then adding chains of varying length. Don't be afraid to mix metals like oxidized silver or hammered gold. It's these textures and patterns that make for an interesting combination. Play around with new designs until you find ones that work for you. Multi-strand necklaces are a great way to update an old favorite and keep up with of-the-moment fashion. Best of all, many of this season's designs are both extremely chic and affordable.

Meet the Directors
So I sat down with Raquel and Nicole earlier today to find out more about them and their inspiration for “Rock Your Vogue…”
Raq helped out with OHM last year as a general volunteer and stage manager, while this is Nicole’s 3rd year with OHM; last year she was the costumes coordinator, and the year before a general member.
These experts will lead the way and help show us exactly what it takes to put on an awesome production.
I was most excited to find out how they came up with this years theme!
They said that they wanted to stress the importance of music, fashion, and individuality. Especially today, music often affects the way we dress. Looking at major fashion and music icons, they all have a certain “style” that makes them unique. This year’s theme really shows the fact that music and fashion come hand in hand.
To find out a little bit more about the style of these two fashionistas, I asked them who their favorite designer was:
Raq had two. First, for accessories she said “definitely Chloe.” Nicole agreed, they both loved Chloe’s style. “We love her essence, she’s so feminine and natural, but chic at the same time.” They lovvve her palette of earthy tones.
For eveningwear, Raq picked Valentino. She was sure to make clear that it is “old school Valentio” that she adored.
Nicole said that she loved avant-garde fashion, the crazy designs you see on the runways. “I know I could never actually wear any of that stuff, but I love it anyways.”
When I asked them if there was anything else they wanted to mention, they said that they want everyone to know how important teamwork is. A fashion show is a big production, and it is impossible without help from everyone.
I also managed to get a sneak peak as to something different that’s going to be happening at the show this year. They have organized for guest speakers to come talk about their experience surviving cancer. This show is so much fun but the cause behind the show is just as important.
After all, the goal of the show is to raise $10 000 and to have a tonssss of fun doing it!
So…Whose next?

Pink Ribbon Campaign
Hey everyone!
The weekend of October 2nd, 3rd and 4th, a few OHMers got together on a mission to collect money for breast cancer research.
We offered pink ribbons in return for any donations. Can you guess how much money was raised? Approximately $28 000 over the weekend! Now that's a record.
Overall, the weekend was a hit; a great way to meet people in the London community, raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society, and spread awareness about OHM. Check out more pictures from the weekend here.

Introducing...OHM
On Wednesday, September 23rd, we held our first OHM event of the year! It was a super chic black and white themed launch party at the Frog.
We set-up a booth and danced around handing out candy in exchange for any donations, and all proceeds went to the Canadian Cancer Society.
There was an amazing turnout, everyone was super generous, and we all had a blast!
If you couldn't make it out, don't worry, head over to 29 Park on Friday November 6th for our next OHM event.
Hope to see you all there!

Lindsay Lohan as "Artistic Adviser" by Emanuel Ungaro Hires
It's been a busy pre-Fashion Week at Chez Emanuel Ungaro, where the house has brought on a new Chief Designer, Estrella Archs, and an "Artistic Adviser"...Lindsay Lohan(?). Mounir Moufarrige, Ungaro’s chief executive officer, disclosed the appointments exclusively to WWD and is already relishing the prospect of that image running in newspapers and on Web sites around the world. "I think the noise level around Lindsay will be very, very big," anticipates Mounir Moufarrige, Ungaro's CEO, about a hoped-for Lindsanity-generated media circus surrounding the news. "Odds are it could work. Everything we’re going to get is going to be a plus.” Asked to describe her role in the creative process, Lohan said she “kind of oversees everything [Archs] does, while still working with her. "Different generations have different ideas. I’ve always played a big part in what I wear, the costumes. Clothing is something that’s so expressive in so many ways." Lohan, whose first fur coat was an Ungaro, also told WWD she hopes to take Ungaro to a “younger place” with a harder fashion edge, and then acknowledged the real reason her appointment is considered press-worthy: "I'm in a position where I’m working with a fashion house in Paris sets it apart from every other celebrity brand.”
The first Archs-Lohan collection for Ungaro will be presented in Paris on October 4, after which they will likely make a joint runway bow.
